Viacom has reached a new agreement with Hulu that will bring The Daily Show and The Colbert Report back to the streaming service, nearly a year after their removal condemned fans to watching episodes through Comedy Central’s website, home of stuttering JavaScript and even more inarticulate commenters. The deal will also bring in shows from all of Viacom’s networks, meaning content from MTV, VH1, Spike TV, BET, and TV Land—and specifically current episodes of shows like Jersey Shore, Tosh.0, and Hot In Cleveland—will be available through Hulu for three weeks after they air. Those who subscribe to Hulu Plus, meanwhile, can have access to Viacom’s vast library of older fare like The Chappelle Show, Reno 911, The Real World, Punk’d, and Beavis And Butt-Head. Also something called Baldwin Hills, which turns out to be BET’s “African-American version of The Hills,” and not a show about the Baldwin Brothers retreating to the mountains to stake out their own sovereignty powered by handsomeness and moonshine.
